Principles of Christ@Work:

Receive the message with great eagerness and examine the Scriptures to see if what is said is true. (Acts 17:11)

1. Our company is a gift from God and I'm a steward of it.

  • The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. (Ps 24:1 ) & Exodus 19:5
  • Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. (Jn 1:3) & Colossians 1;15-16
  • Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (1 Tim 6:17)

2. Our purpose in business is to glorify God.

  • So whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Cor 10:31) --that you may declare the praises of Him (1 Peter 2:9)
  • And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Col 3:17)
  • Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. (Col 3:23-24)

3. Our company is a platform for ministry.

  • Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Phil 4:9)
  • But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. (1Pet 2:9)

4. The Mission field of our Company is made up of the following:

What is "your church" size?

The average American church size is somewhere between 100 and 150 people. Your influence area is "your church". Why go into "full time" ministry when you have a "church influence area" larger than that of most pastors? Additionally, those pastors are in contact with the people perhaps 2 or 3 hours a week. You're in contact with these people that the pastor may never even see is 40 hours per week...or more! You're already the closest thing to heaven and Jesus people may ever see unless they're already going to church. It's doubtful that any missionaries or church visitation members come into your company. Consider the fact that God has assigned that task to YOU...all day long, every day. Can't do it? You're right. Only the power of God's Holy Spirit working in and through you can do it.

So, what's your relationship with God like?

5. The platform that our Company represents has three parts:

a. How we treat People.

  • ...but in humility consider others better than yourselves...Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus...who made Himself nothing...and humbled Himself. (Phil 2:3-8)
  • Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. (Col 4:5-6)

b. How we deal with Money.

  • Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone... (Pr 23:4-5)
  • I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. (Lk 16:9)

c. How we manage our Products and Services.

  • Do not use dishonest standards when measuring length, weight, or quantity. Use honest scales and honest weights. (Lev 19:35)
  • So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you. (Mat 7:12)
